Toyota to build SUV plant in Mississippi
Toyota Motor Corp. has announced plans to build a new sport-utility vehicle plant dedicated to Highlander production in Blue Springs, Miss., just outside Tupelo.
The 1,700-acre plant, the company's fifth assembly plant in the U.S., will create about 2,000 jobs. Scheduled to begin production by 2010, the plant is forecast to produce approximately 150,000 Highlanders each year. Read more
